Full name: Koryak Autonomous Area
Location: Kamchatka (Russian far east)
Status: Region within the Russian Federation

Notes: This Area was established in 1930. Fishing is the mainstay of the economy. The Koryak have been reported as flying a white flag with a green stripe at the bottom. On the white stripe is a golden sun; oddly enough this is visually identical with the sun device on the flag of Namibia.
