History of the flag

Andersson gives the following details. In 1976 the Mayor of Hjørring, launched the idea of a flag for the area around his city. The resulting blue-red-green flag is called 'Vendelbrog', and has been used to some extent according to Andersson.

Vendsyssel is the northern tip of Jutland in Denmark.
