Criminal Justice
In order to take Criminal Justice you must be a sophomore, junior or senior.
Criminal Justice I - Students enrolled in Criminal Justice I will learn about Basic Laws, Search and Seizures, Fingerprinting, Traffic Laws, and Domestic Violence (crimes against family members). The students will learn the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor, and juvenile laws, (laws about students and persons under the age of 18). The students will also learn about our country and town laws as well as learn how the police officers in the country operate. We also have guest speakers such as the Sheriff of Lee County, state police officers, and county officers to talk to you about the laws of Lee County.
Criminal Justice II - Students in Criminal Justice II will learn about Federal and State prisons and how they operate and what qualifications you must have to be a Corrections Officer. The students will also tour the Federal Prisons and state and local prisons if at all possible.
Note-Criminal Justice classes are also involved in VICA and compete in Knowledge of Criminal Justice.
