A word from the Office of the Principal . . . . The start of the 1999-2000 school year has been very successful. Lots of great things have been taking place. The drafting department (Mr. Warren Williams, Instructor) remodeling project has been completed. New computers, monitors, plotters, and printers have been purchased and installed. Last year a high volume networked printer system has been added to update our computer class and is followed this year with new computers.(Mrs. Melissa Hines, Instructor). The Law Enforcement Class continues to grow. Criminal Justice 2 has now been added. Instructors are active deputies on the staff of the Lee County Sheriff Department. Jimmy Woodard, Mike Reynolds, and Richard Garrett continue to serve in those positions. This year begins with a major change in staffing. Mr. Alan Ingle was transferred from Jonesville Middle School to serve as both Agriculture Instructor and Assistant Principal. Mr. Nat Cridlin will assume a portion of the Marketing Education Program. Mr. Joe Williams was hired as the new small engine instructor. The students and staff will miss those who retired this past year; Mr. Don Glass, Small Engines; Mr.Ronald Bowen, Marketing Education; Mr. Bill Dunsmore, Building Trades; and Mr. Cecil Clendennen, Agriculure. This year also initiates a new schedule that reflects two hour blocks in the trades and industrial departments. These replaced the three hour blocks used until the 98-99 school year. This change was necessary to meet the needs of students who are now facing new SOL and graduation requirements.
