Norwegian Flag

Occupied Norway kept the flag. However, use of the flag was restricted by the Quisling government in an attempt to restrict its use for nationalist - that is, anti-nazi and anti-German - purposes.

Flag of Nasjonal Samling

Quisling's party, Nasjonal Samling (National Unity), had a Scandinavian cross flag of red field and yellow cross. All the various specialised organisations within the party (Hird, women's and youth organisations etc.) also had flags. These were based on the party emblem, the sun cross, a red disc with a yellow cross. The emblem was put on a plain field. Each organisation had a different colour.
