The Persian people are the majority and have been reported to have a flag (green over white over yellow).

There never has been a "Persian flag" as shown here. The Persians are one of several peoples in Iran, and live in todays Fars province. When the Persians, Medes (todays Kurds) and Parthians (who live today in the provinces of Guilan and Mazandaran) were joined together under leadership of Cyrus the Great the formed the Iranian Empire, known in the west through Greek writings as the "Persian Empire", after the capital Persepolis, which is located in Pars, today's province of Fars.

The Azeris, of Turkish origin, used during the period of autonomy a red flag with a crescent moon and a five-pointed white star, in the upper hoist corner. Probably at present they use blue over red over green.
The Kurds used during the period of autonomy green over white over red with a yellow sun in the center. The colors red, yellow and green are the Kurdish national colors, and are used in various arrangements (I have seen yellow, red, green; green, yellow, red; and red, green, yellow).
There is a fourth nation that has flag, but I do not know it. This is the Baluch people. The flag probably appears on the Chart of Aspirant Peoples.
