Orange should represent savanas on the north of the land, and green woods on the south. White is a symbol of unity. The symbolism is the same as for the orange-white-green flag of Nigeria, and vertical positions are influenced by Franch tricolor. Officialy adopted on 3-DEC-1959. Proportions 2:3.
